San Antonio Make a Difference Community Partner Grants

Strengthening nonprofits through technology and collective giving

The Make a Difference Community Partner Grants are led by Mytech Partners’ multi-year technology and managed services grant, providing nonprofit organizations with long-term IT support.

In addition, local for-profit partners may contribute complementary, non-technology grants or services, such as financial guidance, marketing support, training, or other professional expertise. Partner participation varies by year.

About the Technology Grant

Nonprofits are encouraged to continue investing in the hardware, software, and platforms they need to operate and grow. Mytech Partners donates the services, consulting, and expertise required to support that technology.

On average, for every $1 spent on technology, organizations need an additional $3–$4 in services to properly implement, manage, secure, and optimize it. Through this grant, Mytech Partners covers that services portion over a three-year period, helping reduce risk and create long-term stability.

What the Technology Grant Includes

Selected nonprofits receive up to three years of donated IT services, including:

  • Managed IT services and day-to-day support
  • Professional IT consulting and expertise
  • Strategic technology planning and guidance
  • Security-first management, monitoring, and support of systems

Total value: up to $350,000 in donated services
(Excludes the cost of hardware, software, and licensing.)

Why We Give Back

We believe the most meaningful way to give back is by sharing what we’re good at.

For Mytech Partners, that means donating long-term technology expertise and support to help nonprofit organizations operate more effectively and focus on their mission.

Additional Partner Grants

In addition to the Mytech Partners Technology Grant, San Antonio nonprofits may have the opportunity to apply for additional partner-sponsored grants.

These grants may support areas such as:

  • Financial consulting or advisory services
  • Marketing, communications, or branding support
  • Training, coaching, or operational guidance

Partner-sponsored grants vary by year and are offered based on community participation.

What does the Technology Grant include?

The grant does not include the cost of hardware, software, or licensing, which remain the responsibility of the nonprofit.

Does the grant provide cash?

No. The Technology Grant provides services, not cash. The value of the grant reflects the donated IT services and expertise provided over the three-year term.

How long is the grant term?

The Technology Grant is awarded for up to three years, reflecting the length of a typical managed IT partnership and allowing for long-term stability and planning.

When will grant recipients be announced?

Can we apply if we already work with another IT provider?

Yes. Organizations may apply even if they currently work with another IT provider. Transition details, if applicable, are reviewed as part of the selection process.

While the IT services are donated, nonprofits remain responsible for the cost of their technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and licensing.
