Key Resources and Insights for Prospective Adjudicators and Sponsors

What Is the Make a
Difference Grant?

Mytech’s mission is to grow, help, and make a difference.
By partnering with local businesses, and giving back to our community we can make a difference in the community as a whole.

With this in mind, we partner with local like-minded companies that are ready to make a difference to local nonprofits. There are various grants offered this year, including 3 years of managed and professional IT services.

Why Does Mytech Partners Give a Grant Every Year?

At Mytech Partners, we award grants every year because giving back is central to who we are. The Make a Difference Community Partner Grants are built on the belief that nonprofits deserve access to the same high-quality resources as any growing organization. By partnering with like-minded businesses, we expand our collective impact—delivering multiple grants and critical services that help nonprofits strengthen operations, scale their missions, and better serve their communities.

Why It Matters

It matters because nonprofits thrive with reliable, long-term support. Through the Make a Difference Community Partner Grants, Mytech Partners provides multi-year IT services that strengthen operations and allow organizations to focus on their mission. By paying success forward, we help nonprofits build stability, scale impact, and better serve their communities.

Frequently Asked Question

Role of an Adjudicator?

Adjudicators play a critical role in reviewing applications and contributing to the decision-making process for a recipient of the Mytech Partners technology grant. If you or your organization is sponsoring a grant, you’ll also choose a winner for that specific award. Additionally, you may be asked to provide further context or insight about applicant nonprofits—especially when important details may not have been fully captured in their applications. Your input helps ensure a well-informed and community-focused selection process.

Responsibilities of an Adjudicator?

You will be required to read all applications, which can take upwards of 3–4 hours, and use the scoring guidelines we provide to select the top three applicants you believe are best suited for the Mytech Technology Grant. If you or your organization has provided a grant, you will spend additional time selecting a winner for that specific grant. You are welcome to seek input from others to help make the best selection. This work will likely require time outside of regular business hours and over the weekend.

In addition, adjudicators will be asked to record a 5–10 minute video sharing why they chose to participate in the adjudication process, what will be donated, and the impact the grant will have on the recipient organization.

There are two adjudication sessions:

  • A half-day (4-hour) in-person session where applications will be discussed and narrowed down

  • A 90-minute session later in the week to address any remaining questions about top candidates and finalize decisions

Contributions of an Adjudicator?

We ask that you help promote the grant using any channels available to you. This can include sharing information on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, sending updates through your email newsletters, mentioning the grant at community events, or simply spreading the word in one-on-one conversations. The more visibility we create, the more nonprofits we can reach—and the greater impact we can have. Your efforts play a key role in the success of the grant, so we encourage you to use every opportunity to help amplify the message.

Award Ceremony Expectations

Adjudicators are expected to attend the award ceremony and personally present their grant to the selected nonprofit. Before leaving the event, adjudicators should make direct contact with their grant recipient to offer congratulations and establish a connection. Since the ceremony is open to the community, adjudicators are also encouraged to share their experience by posting about the event on social media or other platforms. Your presence and engagement help celebrate the work of these nonprofits and extend the impact of the grant within the broader community.

What Makes a Good Grant

A good grant is one that gives more than just money. It offers services, products, and financial support that help a nonprofit reach its full potential. The best grants match the nonprofit’s needs, allowing them to grow, strengthen their programs, and make a bigger impact. It’s about providing the right resources to help them succeed and thrive in their mission.
