Help Nonprofits Thrive By Giving More Than Money
The Make a Difference Community Partner Grants are built on one simple belief: lasting nonprofit impact happens when communities work together.
Led by Mytech Partners’ multi-year technology and managed services grant, this program brings together local for-profit businesses, community leaders, and nonprofit advocates to deliver meaningful, long-term support to nonprofit organizations.
Whether through sponsorship, donated services, or adjudication, community partners play a vital role in expanding both the reach and impact of the grants.

What Makes A Good Grant?
A good grant does more than provide funding.
The most impactful grants:
- Offer services, expertise, or resources that remove long-term barriers
- Align with real nonprofit needs
- Strengthen operations, leadership, or sustainability
- Help organizations scale their mission responsibly
Service-based and skills-based grants often deliver lasting value by addressing the work required after a solution is introduced.
Partner-donated grants often range in scope and focus, including areas such as:
- Financial consulting or advisory services
- Marketing, communications, or branding support
- Board development and governance training
- Professional coaching or operational consulting
- Software platforms or nonprofit SaaS solutions
In recent grant cycles, partner participation resulted in multiple complementary grants, giving nonprofits options to apply for support that best fits their needs.

Frequently Asked Question
Adjudicators play a critical role in reviewing applications and contributing to the decision-making process for a recipient of the Mytech Partners technology grant. If you or your organization is sponsoring a grant, you’ll also choose a winner for that specific award. Additionally, you may be asked to provide further context or insight about applicant nonprofits—especially when important details may not have been fully captured in their applications. Your input helps ensure a well-informed and community-focused selection process.
You will be required to read all applications, which can take upwards of 3–4 hours, and use the scoring guidelines we provide to select the top three applicants you believe are best suited for the Mytech Technology Grant. If you or your organization has provided a grant, you will spend additional time selecting a winner for that specific grant. You are welcome to seek input from others to help make the best selection. This work will likely require time outside of regular business hours and over the weekend.
In addition, adjudicators will be asked to record a 5–10 minute video sharing why they chose to participate in the adjudication process, what will be donated, and the impact the grant will have on the recipient organization.
There are two adjudication sessions:
A half-day (4-hour) in-person session where applications will be discussed and narrowed down
A 90-minute session later in the week to address any remaining questions about top candidates and finalize decisions
We ask that you help promote the grant using any channels available to you. This can include sharing information on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, sending updates through your email newsletters, mentioning the grant at community events, or simply spreading the word in one-on-one conversations. The more visibility we create, the more nonprofits we can reach—and the greater impact we can have. Your efforts play a key role in the success of the grant, so we encourage you to use every opportunity to help amplify the message.
Adjudicators are expected to attend the award ceremony and personally present their grant to the selected nonprofit. Before leaving the event, adjudicators should make direct contact with their grant recipient to offer congratulations and establish a connection. Since the ceremony is open to the community, adjudicators are also encouraged to share their experience by posting about the event on social media or other platforms. Your presence and engagement help celebrate the work of these nonprofits and extend the impact of the grant within the broader community.
